A longtime PR executive gone from WWE

WWE PR on Twitter

It is not clear what prompted this move, however Fightful Select reported Earlier today (January 17th) it was announced that Vice President of Public Relations Adam Hopkins will no longer work for WWE.

The name might not mean much to the casual fan, but for those of us lucky/crazy enough to work in the wrestling media, Hopkins has been our point of contact for all things WWE. Arranged conference calls, set up interviews, provided cross-screening, provided clarifications and provided formal commentary on stories. Hopkins reached out to me shortly after I was named manager at Cageside, and people with more time in the game credit him with opening doors between WWE and those covering it.

Hopkins joined WWE in 2017 as the “Fan Services Coordinator”. From there he moved into public relations and communications, climbing the ladder from manager to director before becoming vice president last year.

PWInsider Notes that Hopkins was “a big part of building Paul Levesque’s vision for NXT.” This site also says that Vice President of Communications Stephanie Fiondella’s time with WWE also ended last week. No information about the circumstances of her departure has been confirmed either.

Former WWE Champion Big E responded to a tweet from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp about Hopkins, seemingly confirming his exit, and definitely emphasizing that he will be missed as much from within the company as he will be from outside:
