WWE is ramping up its build to Royal Rumble The Premium Live event is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, as we’re just two weeks away from the second biggest show of the year. This means that new entrants for the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches are being announced all the time.
During Friday Night SmackDown This week, we saw a few more names thrown into the mix:
Mysterio is ready to move on from all the drama surrounding his son, and believes that winning the Royal Rumble and going to WrestleMania can go a long way toward that. Meanwhile, GUNTHER successfully retained the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Braun Strowman and sees the Rumble win as the next step in his journey.
The updated roster for the men’s match now includes:
- Kofi Kingston
- Bobby Lashley
- Seth Rollins
- Austin theory
- Baron Corbin
- Santos Escobar
- Rey Mysterio
Emma and Maxxxine have been hanging around Liv Morgan chatting like they’re going to the big match but it hasn’t been officially announced. However, Rodriguez has openly stated that this will be her first and she wants to make it special.
Later in the show, Adam Pearce refused to give Sonya Deville another shot at Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship, instead telling her she had to earn it via the Rumble. It hasn’t been officially announced like these others but we can reasonably assume it will be there.
The updated roster for the women’s match now includes:
- Liv Morgan
- Candice Larry
- Rhea Ripley
- Raquel Rodriguez
