We’ve seen a lot of mystery partners in our day. Mystery foes too. Carmelo Hayes and wingman Trick Williams face off Saturday night (February 4) in Charlotte, North Carolina at revenge day PLE, Apollo Crews brings Mystery Backup!
Like most things that have happened during Crews’ current NXT run, this news came to us (and presumably Apollo) in a vision.
Most of the speculation I’ve seen concerns the repackaged Babatunde Igbusi, the former Nigerian-Polish footballer who wrestled as Daba Kato on Raw Underground before repackaging as the Dear Captain, the force behind Crews’ main roster in the Nigerian gimmick kings. This makes sense, and the silhouette in Apollo’s vision does not contradict this theory. But I’m sure there are a few other suspects we don’t think of.
