For some wrestling fans, star ratings are a way of life. It’s fine to say a match is good or bad, but can you really put a number on it?

The star rating system is a scale from 0 to 5 in increments of 0.25. A 5-star match is about as close to perfect as it gets while a 0-star match is a complete game.

Determining the star rating for a particular match is a very subjective process. In general, the goal is to wrap up all the important elements of a match in one simple number. Some of the factors to consider might include the storyline and booking of the match, the pace of the performers’ work, the psychology of the episode, the length of the match, audience reaction, and so on.

There is no wrong answer, because every wrestling fan consumes this art form in a different way.

The purpose of Cageside Community Star Ratings is for readers to assign star ratings to each individual match at a WWE pay-per-view event. These results will be tabulated and summed up after the community votes on each pay-per-view match.
