Christopher Daniels to be inducted into the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame

All elite wrestling

Game Changer Wrestler inducted the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame last year. In a ceremony tied for GCW’s debut at Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom, Tracy Smothers, Ruckus & Homicide, Jerry Lynn, Dave Prazak & LuFisto were inducted into the inaugural class.

For 2023, the show will move the festivities to WrestleMania weekend in Los Angeles. This year’s ceremony will be part of GCW’s “The Collective” event, and they are working with WrestleCon to present their second class at the Biltmore Hotel on Sun. , 2 April.

Earlier tonight (February 8), they announced their first member of the category. He (and his longtime friend who would have the honor of recruiting him) both have ties to Southern California, and you certainly can’t argue with his independent wrestling.

Christopher Daniels began wrestling in the Middle Indies in the 1990s, and was in the main event of the first Ring of Honor show in 2002. He is perhaps best known for his long TNA/Impact run, or as a member of Team AEW since that company’s inception. But The Fallen Angel is independent wrestling through and through.

We’ll see who joins the CD in the class of 2023. If you can’t attend live, the ceremony will be broadcast on Fit at 3 p.m. ET on April 2.
