Crude numbers are down, but the news is still good

rawThe past two weeks have seen an anniversary celebration filled with legends, building on and the aftermath of one of WWE’s most beloved events. They produced some of the company’s best Monday night TV numbers in years.

According to Showbuzz DailyThe February 6 release was watched by an average of 1.87 million people over its three hours. Between 18-49 years old, the average rating was .55. Both are down significantly from the January 30 Royal Rumble fallout episode (11% of total viewers, 14% in the demo), but other than that the news is positive.

raw It was still easily the highest rated original cable Monday night — and ESPN’s late college basketball game between Texas and Kansas scored 0.37 for second place. It ranked fourth on all-television. This week’s numbers outshine what Brand Red was doing in January before XXX, and how it started in February 2022 (although it ran into the Olympics and aired on SyFy at this time last winter, so that doesn’t tell us much).

Giving a mic to Cody Rhodes at 10pm ET still made a solid commentary all night too…

first hour: 1.97 million / .57
two o’clock: 1.88 million / .56
three o’clock: 1.75 million / .53

if raw They can keep this up for a few more months, there’s really no reason to believe they can’t, WWE, USA and their sponsors would be happy.
