After getting the TNT gold back, Allen celebrated in celebration alongside Sting delivering a motivational message. If you have a dream, live it. Don’t listen to anyone. Listen to yourself, and it will take you further than you ever knew possible. Allen called to the ring Nick Wayne, a 17-year-old wrestler signed to a future AEW contract. Wayne is the son of Allen’s trainer, Buddy Wayne. Allen praised the young man and then quipped that perhaps they would wrestle for the TNT title one day.

It didn’t take long for Allen’s good responses to get serious. Behind the scenes, Mike Bennett, along with Maria Kanellis and Matt Taven, are close to looking for a lead shot in Portland on frenzy. Bennett has noted Allen’s penchant for open challenges as a fighting champion. Allen explained that his open challenge policy never ended, only his reign with the title did. Allen did not back down.
