Day of Vengeance adds two games, and changes another

Last night (January 24), NXT added two more matches to their upcoming matches revenge day PLE.

Carmelo Hayes has set his sights on the NXT Championship. This was also Apollo Crews’ stated goal when it returned to Tuesday nights. They faced off in singles matches and matches, with Hayes winning the former and Crews winning the latter, and were generally thorns in each other’s sides. So on Saturday, February 4th in Charlotte, North Carolina, they’ll try to settle things with a 2 out of 3 falls match.

The other new match for NXT’s first trip outside of Florida since last year’s WrestleMania is for the Women’s Tag Titles… and its setup is a little more involved. Brooks Jensen crushes Keiana James. His friends and associates Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley don’t trust James (which makes sense, because she tried a kind of Wolf of Wall Street with the Henley family pub). But after James & Henley won a tag match last night, Jensen shot them both at the belts. And Fallon isn’t going to turn that down – even if she doesn’t like or trust her teammate.

Meanwhile, The New Day wants to share the spotlight with as many young guns as possible, so they’re holding an invitation next Tuesday. Three tag teams will face off on January 31, and the winner of Malik Blade and Idris Inofi vs. Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reed) vs. Chase U Andre Chase and Duke Hudson will be added to the Revenge Day title match to make it a four way dance.

Here’s the updated lineup for revenge day:

• Braun Breaker (c) vs. Grayson Waller in a Steel Cage match for the NXT Championship

• Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Jessie Jane INXT Women’s Title

• Wes Lee (c) vs. Dijak for the NXT North American Championship

• The New Day (C) vs. The Gallows vs. Bretty Dietley vs. TBD in a 4-Way Match for the NXT Tag Team Titles

• Kayden Carter & Katana Chance (c) vs Fallon Henley & Keanna James for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship

• Carmelo Hayes vs. Apollo Crews in a 2-out-3 falls match

Sounds like a good show to you?
