Austin Theory, despite needing help from Logan Paul to do so, managed to escape Elimination Chamber with the United States Championship at Judicial Department Happened last night (February 18, 2023) in Montreal. The way the match played out indicated he was finally moving on from Seth Rollins, who will no doubt now set his sights on Paul.
When discussing what’s next for him, Theory said he would issue an open challenge Monday Night Raw This week in Ottawa:

“Man, open challenge. We’re in Ottawa on Monday. I haven’t wrestled there in probably 17 or 18 years. I haven’t had gold in a while. I mean, I retired as world heavyweight champion. He was a Cena fan, so obviously Stupid. Which means… mind, that being said, I respect Cena because he has a work ethic, something I don’t know Austin theory has and maybe we’ll prove that on Monday when I accept the US Open challenge… I guess I probably need To kick his teeth down his throat. So this will happen in Ottawa, if he accepts.”
He must have done it, because WWE quickly announced the match was ready.
