AEW has prepared a big rematch for the Trios The Elite champions dynamite Last night (February 15th). While the segment that will lead to Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks defending against AR Fox & Top Flight this week frenzy aired, they clarified with who the next big program of champions would be.

It gives Friday’s game score, because I’m pretty sure the Malakai Black & team don’t hack the computer system/cast spells to get their shots in the Flight & Fox video (no offense, but I also don’t think many people expected them to bother The Elite frenzy). I guess that also meant spoiling Eddie Kingston was the ultimate goal of the HoB story that used to run on Friday nights, and now they’re moving on. This gives us another really good match revolutionand one with some actual suspense about who will leave San Francisco with the Trios belts.

As for how to provoke hostility? AEW wouldn’t shy away from comparisons to cult favorite Uncle Howdy’s nephew, especially after the summer of the White Rabbit. But the “mysterious bug” trick has been a staple of horror/thriller almost as long as we’ve had screens to stare at. Plus, it’s not like this sort of thing wasn’t part of Black’s character DNA for a long time.
