The first Friday in AEW in 2023 was a live double feature of The frenzy In its regular 10 p.m. EST time slot, V Belt battle Special Right Afterward at 11. Both did better than previous editions.

frenzy It had an audience of 551,000 with a rating of 0.15 between 18-49 years old. It continues to perform as a roller coaster for this show, up 15% and 25% from the previous week.

BOTB5 didn’t catch all of those viewers, but it did far better than its fourth edition. It was 409,000 viewers, a 29% improvement over October 7 Battle of the Belts IV, which was broadcast live on Friday. Last week’s special achieved a 0.11 on 18-49, a more modest 10% improvement over its predecessor.
