PWInsider Reports WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Jerry “The King” Lawler has been hospitalized since yesterday (February 6). The 73-year-old is said to have “suffered a medical episode while staying at his Florida apartment yesterday afternoon.” Apparently, he went out to lunch with his friends, then felt ill sometime after returning home, and was rushed to the hospital.
Insider’s Mike Johnson wrote that the site learned more about the “medical episode” last night, but won’t be sharing that information unless/until the Lawler family chooses to. while, Work news 5 In Memphis (where the King to fame is treated as legitimate royalty) Lawler says Lawler had a stroke. According to their report, he has undergone surgery and is recovering in a Florida hospital.
Lawler just appeared on WWE TV on Raw XXX last month, and again on Royal Rumble Starting. He previously suffered a heart attack live during WWE’s nightly show in 2012, W.L.L He had a stroke In 2018. He continued to wrestle on the independents. His last match was on January 21 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Lawler averaged a match per month in 2022.
