Jinder Mahal wins the NXT Championship

NXT are marching towards WrestleMania PLE weekend, stand and delivery. The brand also announced that the March 7th episode will be a one-episode themed, Roadblock.

So last night (February 14th), they had some big matches.

expectation comes out revenge day We were finally heading into a showdown between NXT Champion Braun Breaker and Carmelo Hayes. This may still be the plan for April 1st in Los Angeles, but Breaker will have to deal with the roadblock first – but not the Roadblock.

Former WWE Champions Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher interrupted Bronn on this week’s episode. He put in the champ’s place, planting a seed for a possible future heel breaker turn by claiming fans were turning on the longtime reigning champion. She set up a championship match for the next week’s episode.

That was one of three matches booked for next Tuesday. Hayes’ friend Trick Williams targeted Ilga Dragunov one week after Dragunov’s comeback during Melo’s match with JD McDonagh. A distraction from McDonagh allowed Trick to take down Mad Russian, and now they would have a match.

And after Jacy Jayne explained that her attack on fellow Toxic Attraction co-star Gigi Dolin was a way to catapult her into the spotlight, Indi Hartwell got an interviewer to say that Jayne shouldn’t think she’d just jump to the front of the line for the women’s title shot. So they will have a match next Tuesday as well.

And speaking of the women’s title, it certainly looks like Roxanne Perez will be defending it against Miko Satomura on the next episode of Roadblock. Unless announcer Vic Joseph kept saying “roadblock” for another reason as Perez was accepting a challenge from her partner after the champ and Satomura defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance in last night’s main event.
