Vote in the comments. Give us the four actors you think you enjoyed or liked the most last week, and feel free to talk about why. and/or vote for your best performer in our poll.

We also have the result of last week’s vote, the results of which make up our annual contest for Cageside Cupis given to us overall performance.

This week, we’ll be voting on the nationally and online professional wrestling programming that aired January 22-28 – rawAnd Darkness: riseAnd darkAnd NXTAnd dynamiteAnd fusionAnd PowererAnd EffectAnd SmackDownAnd frenzyAnd Level upAnd NJPW is strongAnd Royal RumbleAnd anything else I forget.

But first, here’s the result of last week’s vote, and how those results changed our annual competition for Cageside Cup.

  • Of last week’s top five, all have been Ring of Honor champions at various points in their careers, and four have held the ROH World Title. seems appropriate.
  • Two of them are in the best storyline in WWE. The two were in AEW’s Best Match this week.
  • I was never sure if this was the right place to honor the people who are no longer with us, but many of you thought we should, and that’s what society has rated. rip jay
  • Less of a theme in the back half, though I don’t think any of them worked with the late Jamin Pugh.
  • One gets a US shot, one gets a visit from Uncle Howdy, another if he’s the GD head of the table, the whole gimmick is a botched dive at this point (and I suspect the beneficiary of some bad actors enjoying the poll), and one steals Mountain Dew Pitch Black Straight from under the former WWE & Universal Champion.
