Jerry “The King” Lawler’s official Twitter account posted a very encouraging update on his health this afternoon (February 8). It came with some photos of fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart visiting him in a Florida hospital where 73-year-old Lawler is recovering from surgery after suffering a stroke earlier this week.
Continuing along the lines of updates from Dave Brown and Jim Ross over the past 24 hours, the first official statement confirms that King is dealing with some speech impairment. Most importantly, however, his prognosis is a full recovery with rehabilitation.
Update on Jerry: After suffering a massive stroke on Monday. He is now recovering at Fort Myers Hospital, Florida. His speech is limited, but with rehabilitation he will make a full recovery. He thanks everyone for continuing to pray and will be back in the near future. pic.twitter.com/2Ge4XuKVr4

Sharing some wrestling memories with Mouth of the South seems like a great way for Lawler to start the healing process. We were expecting Hart to be the first of many visitors to The King in the coming days and weeks.
Hopefully, each subsequent update will continue to bring better and better news about Memphis rasslin’ and WWE raw Legend declaration.
