MLW Roundup: NZO trash talk Microman and Willie Mack for the first time!

MLW is ready for the new year with a new TV strip for January 7th.

  • MLW National Openweight Championship: Davey Richards (c) vs. John Morrison
  • MLW World Tag Team Championship: The Hustle and the Force (Calvin Tankman and AJ Nduka) (c) vs. Samoan Swat Team (Lance Anoui and Josey Finau)
  • MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship: Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Zoe Sky
  • Jacob Fatu vs Ben K
  • Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Alex Kane
  • Real1 NZO vs. Microman

  • Billington Bulldogs vs. Bomay Fight Club (Myron Reid and Mr. Thomas)
  • Lince Dorado vs La Estrella
  • Billy Starkers vs. Kayla Cassidy
  • The full-blooded Italians (Little Guido and Ray Jaz) are in action

For the main title, DragonGate’s Yamato is coming up against MLW’s top prize. He believes he has the technique to get over Alexander Hammerston’s muscles and bring the MLW World Heavyweight Championship back to Japan.

Ben-K has a new gold chain for his fight with Jacob Fatu, and he can thank NZO for the gold. Chica-chika-chika-ah!

NZO vs. Microman is a match I never imagined, but now I want to. Real1 has fighting words for his opponent. NZO was all over the place in his promo, but the message was clear. Kicking ass is in Microman’s future.

I think the Blood & Thunder matches should be broadcast fusion in four to six weeks. Meanwhile, MLW is new fusion Episodes resume Thursday nights at 8 PM ET and are available for streaming Pro Wrestling TV.

In the last episode of fusion (#160), Taya Valkyrie retained the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship against Lady Flammer. La Wera Loca escaped a Mexican destroyer in flames by attacking and winning via Road to Valhalla. MLW treated them right with a big feel match playing the national anthems of both Canada and Mexico.

Alex Kane made quick work in D3 to win the Peach State Prize Fight challenge. The goal was for D3 to survive five minutes to earn a cash prize, but Kane’s suplex was too impressive. Five Suplex Assassin finishes the job on the Italian.

Mance Warner beat Mads Kruger in a table match. It was a physical fight with doors, chairs and screwdrivers. Kruger was in control after spearing Warner through a door in the corner. The masked mercenary set up a table on the floor, however, and a bloodied Warner stomped Kruger to knock out the apron by crashing through the table. Ole Mancer triumphed and celebrated with a cold light beer.

for this week new episode From fusionWillie Mack was hired to debut in MLW. He decided to challenge Jacob Fatu to show the Atlanta crowd how they do it on the West Coast.

The other match on the show will be a three-way lucha libre action. Gino Medina got tired of Microman, so he challenged his rival to the Loser Leaves MLW clause. Gino has recruited Taurus and Mini Abismo Negro, while Microman will have Laredo Kid and Kommander alongside him. The level of talent in that match should result in some great delights.

We’ll wrap up with Jacob Fatu, Lance Anoui, Lance Dorado, and Microman vacationing at the bar. It looks a lot fun.
