The big change was Taya Valkyrie’s opponent defending the MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship. Delmi Exo was originally on tap to challenge La Wera Loca however Plans changed To Billy Starks to take the call. Apparently, César Duran pulled some strings in a power play in favor of Taya.

Doing business with Cesar Duran’s Azteca Lucha clients would no doubt cost MLW a pretty penny. Well, the good news is that MLW has signed a new cash flow sponsorship agreement.

MLW has announced a partnership with BetOnline.ag as Official Sports League Sponsor and Partner. MLW CEO Court Bauer explained“Sports is embedded in all forms of sports and a partner like BetOnline is collaborating alongside MLW and our premium combat sports product. Just as they are pioneers in the fast-growing sports arena, MLW aims to pioneer in a time when professional wrestling has never been hotter than ever before. As time goes by, we look forward to all the ways this partnership will grow.”

In the world of MLW Weekly fusion broadcast, Taya retained her featherweight title at the scrap against Trish Adora last week. Taya was helped by the unscrupulous hands of Cesar Duran. The champion takes advantage of a physical tackle by Duran to win the match. Sam Adonis made his debut under Duran to get a quick win over Johnny Patch. Adonis also threw a trash can over Microman. The episode even aired an amazing match between YAMATO and Shun Skywalker at DragonGate. I give this wonderful match to go check out.

This week’s episode of fusion Features Three contests. Microman, Lince Dorado, and La Estrella team up against Delirious, Mini Abismo Negro, and Azteca 33 to make a trio. Microman and Lince have a chance to trash Duran Azteca’s henchmen 33. In the tag team scene, the SST (Samoan Swat Team) fought the FBI (Full Blooded Italians). Both teams are positioned for a title, and a win will go a long way toward the goal. Additionally, Dr. Dax feuds with Vinnie Pacifico. Expect Dax to cause pain.

MLW Fusion Streams Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET Pro Wrestling TV and hits cable waves Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET on beIN SPORTS.
