NXT is back on the road for the first time in years with their latest premium live event, The revenge day The show aired last night (Saturday, February 4, 2023) at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a critical success, as Wes Lee and Dijak ripped home the opening match and never let go all the way through Bron Breaker successfully defending his NXT Championship against Grayson Waller in a main event steel cage match.

Speaking of which, he faced Carmelo Hayes – from a distance, but nonetheless – a little later. This seems to show what the main event promotion has in mind for its biggest show of the year, upcoming Stand and delivery WrestleMania week show.

After the show, Bricker explained:

“You know what? I think it’s been a long time coming. I respected Carmelo Hayes and I thought if anyone was there, why not? Let’s do it. Show up, Carmelo.”
