Revolution and Rumors Match Tag: Iron Man 60-Minute Match

AEW

AEW paves the way for revolution On March 5, cement entered the mixer, and a trend began to form. Let’s break down the potential PPV card scenarios and give our best guesses.

We’ll start with the list of heroes:

  • AEW World Championship: MJF
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Jimmy Hayter
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: acclaimed
  • AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allen
  • AEW TBS Championship: Jade Cargill
  • AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Triangle of Death (PAC, Fenix, and Pentagon Jr.)
  • FTW Championship: Hook

First up is the MJF World Champion. The story seems guaranteed that MJF will defend the gold against Bryan Danielson. The heat comes from MJF hitting William Regal with brass knuckles. Not only was Danielson upset by the outrageous attack on his mentor, he was most likely offended by MJF who tossed Regal aside like trash. Regal has since returned to WWE, so his existence will be dust in the wind.

For a shot at the Big Burberry Belt, Danielson has to work his way up the rankings, starting with Konosuke Takeshita on Wednesday night dynamite. Takeshita is the first of five opponents. If Danielson succeeds, the agreement stipulates that the condition of the fight for the world title will be a 60-minute Iron Man match. Danielson would likely run the challenge, however, it would be nice if AEW threw a monkey wrench into the storyline by Takeshita who eventually pulled off a huge win to defeat American Dragon. This will lead to Danielson having to scratch and slash in a unique way to get revenge on MJF.

Jimmy Hayter has a huge tag team this week dynamite. The Women’s Champion will team with DMD Dr. Brett Baker against Saraya and Toni Storm. At the current track, Hayter’s biggest match will be a title defense against Saraya. It may not be that simple though.

Hayter’s style of fighting with the crowd is gone, even though she’s a heel. Will AEW be content to put that aside to crown Saraya as champion? If not, the tag match could sow the seeds for a four-way PPV between Hayter, Baker, Saraya and Storm. This also tends to the earlier tension between Hayter and Becker. This appears to be a likely scenario, otherwise Baker would most likely be disqualified. We all know AEW believes Baker is their biggest star in the women’s division. And let’s not forget Hikaru Shida. AEW made it a point for Saraya to inadvertently disfigure herself on camera, so it must be for a reason.

Move to the tag team section. I am confused about this. The acclaimed just beat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett twice for the championship game. The finishes were full of tricks, albeit legal ones. Lethal & Jarrett have no argument in the third round. Gunn’s Sons are high after their win on FTR, however, Top Gunns lacks legitimacy as a PPV competition. Top Flight suffered back-to-back defeats to Blackpool Fighting Club. The Martin brothers have to do to get back into the picture. In addition, the trios division has garnered attention from other top duos. I don’t know who’s next for Anthony Bowens and Max Custer.

Darby Allen is a fighting champion. Come on, everyone come on for the TNT title. I kinda wish AEW would open the forbidden door to a great match. Someone worth experiencing PPV. Great Muta would be so great if he could be forced into one more match in his Final Bye Bye tour. Rush will be a tough game. Perhaps Eddie Kingston will embrace the dark side and challenge Allen.

Jade Cargill is on her way to 50-0. Red Velvet might get in the way. The dispute is apparently widespread and should appear in the near future. I don’t see Velvet as the one to dethrone Jade, especially since Velvet didn’t have any promotions to drum up fan support. My eyes are on Chris Statlander’s return from injury. The galaxy’s greatest alien was sidelined with knee surgery in August. If he is healthy, then back in revolution It will be exciting.

Similar to Allen, Orange Cassidy is also a fighting champion. Pretty much anyone who asks gets a shot at pan-Atlantic glory. Where is Miro? If not Miro, other candidates could be Trent or Will Hobbs. Trent has uncomfortable issues with the way Cassidy beat him before, however, this isn’t PPV-level work. Hobbs wants to take, and Cassidy has something worth taking.

In the Trios title picture, a ladder match will determine who emerges victorious from the series between the Triangle of Death and the Elite. If I bet money, my bet would be on the elite. They’re the foundation of AEW, and they also have the advantage on local courts in Los Angeles on this week’s edition of dynamite. From now on, the House of Black has sent a clear message to Brandon Cutler that the elite are in their sights. Once the House of Black moves past Eddie Kingston & Ortiz, there should be a rumble with Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks in the cards. If the Death Triangle is kept, then defending against Top Flight & AR Fox will be a lot of fun.

Although the FTW Championship is recognized by the AEW brass, it does not guarantee PPV time. However, this may be the case to force the case. That was staring off the hook to electric Big Bill Morrissey. It’s enough to cheer for an individual match that I want to see. Hook’s victory would be a major moment in cementing his stardom. Losing Tazz’s son would be fine as a way to give him a mount to take over the family heirloom.

This handles title spells. There are a variety of individual differences available to beat the card. Hangman Page has got to be the best Jon Moxley he can be dynamite For a rubber match. Chris Jericho needs to get revenge on Ricky Starks, which will likely include members of the Jericho Appreciation Society and Action Andretti. Wardlaw is coming to get revenge on Samoa Joe for marketing his man cake. Keith Lee Swerve Strickland Settlement is another option. The Face of the Revolution ladder match became destined to earn a shot at TNT gold.

Possible expectations for revolution The card includes:

  • AEW World Championship: MGF (c) vs. Bryan Danielson in a 60-Minute Iron Man match
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Jamie Hayter (c) vs Saraya (or quadruple with Dr. Brett Baker DMD and Tony Storm)
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: acclaimed (c) vs.??? (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, they just brought up the names)
  • AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allen (c) vs. ??? (Speed)
  • AEW TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Red Velvet (or Chris Statlander)
  • AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy (C) vs. ??? (Miro or Will Hobbs)
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Elite C vs House of Black
  • FTW Championship: Hawk (c) vs. Big Bill Morrissey
  • Confronting the ladder of revolution: Buck, Phoenix, Pentagon, Jungle Boy, Claudio Castagnoli, Swerve Strickland
  • Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page
  • Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks (or a version of JAS vs. Starks and Andretti)
  • Wardlaw vs Samoa Joe

What do you expect from AEW? revolution PPV card? What matches are you hoping to get booked?
