WWE Royal Rumble It is scheduled to take place tonight (Saturday, January 28, 2022) from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Starts at 7:00 PM ET with the Kickoff Show leading directly to the main course at 8 PM ET on the peacock in the United States, the WWE Network elsewhere, or your local cable pay-per-view provider.

Women’s Royal Rumble match
Gino Moresco: In my eyes, there is only one option and I see no reason to do anything else. Choose: Rhea Ripley
Sean Reuter: All money’s in The Nightmare, but the Hall of Famer is late coming back for some revenge. Everyone thinks that Beth Phoenix eliminating Rhea from the Rumble is a good way to start this redemption plan. Then we use this as a way to pit EST up against the last knight she’d want down, Charlotte Flair’s face persona is still too fragile to risk backlash against her just yet, so… PICK: Bianca Belair
Kyle Deckerkisa: Feels like Rhea Ripley is Shaw here. They’re building her up big time, she lives for the moment, and she has to be a clear favorite. She also competes with the current women’s champions. When Belair won the Rumble, she and Ripley finally brawled completely. But I would have pitted Raya against Charlotte to win back her win at WrestleMania: Pandemic years ago. Choose: Rhea Ripley
Claire Elizabeth: I’m feeling a little pessimistic about the state of things again lately, so I’m going to scroll down the list page and pick the one who’s least interested in seeing them win the rumble… Aha, Lacey Evans, sure why not? This push is really real, I won the Rumble, lost to Charlotte at Mania, and had the opportunity to learn how to want her back in the crinolines again, bum. Choose: Lacey Evans
Cain A KnightIt’s hard to find anyone other than Rhea Ripley a winner here. Choose: Rhea Ripley
Marcus Benjamin: A friend of mine has a rather interesting prediction here so I’ll let him speak for himself because I like it and it’s a lot better than I had in mind: Naomi returns, wins, and joins the bloodline. Choose: Naomi
Men’s Royal Rumble match
Gino Moresco: I know it makes a lot of sense for Cody Rhodes to win this match – looks like his merch is also starting to sell well too – but I was sold on the idea of Sami Zayn winning and headlining WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. The storyline has been very well done, and there is a lot of potential for a bigger story to be told with Zayn winning this match. So, to hell, I’ll go with my heart. Choose: Sami Zayn
Sean ReuterKaito: Sure, all signs point to that not happening. But what if that’s exactly what they want us to think? Sniff what I’m cooking here? Choose: The Rock
Kyle Decker: If I were picking from my heart, I would pick Sami Zayn. His path in the past year has pretty much dictated that he should be the man to head the table at WrestleMania. And while it’s not exciting for a guy who’s had a total of 3 matches in the past year, the story of Prodigal Son Comes Home makes sense. They could do something about family versus family and all that jazz. I don’t like it, but they can sell it to me if done right. Pick: Cody Rhodes
Claire Elizabeth:The American Plumber’s Grandson, American Nightmare, yes it derails Sammy’s momentum but here’s the thing: I like Sammy’s story a lot better if he’s faithful to Bloodline to the end. Yeah yeah maybe it would be a better wrestling storyline if there was a split and feud but damn Sammy and J for brothers by choice is good pure and healthy and I don’t want to see Zayn on the other side of the ring from Anoa’i for the rest of my life. Pick: Cody Rhodes
Cain A Knight: The winner of the Royal Rumble match will either be Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, or a surprise legend who can main event WrestleMania. This sentence would have sounded like pure madness one year ago. My heart says Sammy but my mind says Cody. Fans love Sammy almost as much as Daniel Bryan circa 2014-2015, so there’s a chance this could backfire on Rhodes if WWE isn’t careful about how they book him. Pick: Cody Rhodes
Marcus Benjamin: Kyle has spun a really good story about Sami Zayn winning that thing. I wish it was true and I might find myself frustrated if it didn’t. But, sometimes the obvious choice is the right one and Cody is the obvious choice because that always seems like the plan. Revenge the family, end Dusty’s legacy, and add more luster to the Rhodes family name. I mean, it’s all there. Plus the idea of Cody Dynasty vs. kinda Roman Reigns writes itself. I want a Sami but I just talked about happiness with Cody W. Beck: Cody Rhodes
WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Gino Moresco: They never limited this to just one of my two Roman belts, which would have been the only way I would have given KO a chance to win here. Choose: Roman Reigns
Sean Reuter: oh KO? Remember that time when you beat Roman Reigns Royal Rumble To keep your world title? There was an AEW guy locked in a cage above the ring, and did old Gerthy McBeg Pance run? Do you want to say it was about six years ago? Keep those memories close. Choose: Roman Reigns
Kyle Decker: There’s no way Roman is dropping the belts two months after WrestleMania. Choose: Roman Reigns
Claire Elizabethkisa: sorry how, it didn’t. The best you could hope for is to win a DQ from Sami in an attempt to prove his loyalty and confuse him, but I didn’t even pick that. Choose: Roman Reigns
Cain A Knight: Like two years ago, they will have a great match but the result is beyond doubt. Pick: Roman Reigns
Marcus Benjamin: I mean, come on. KO will come close but that only matters in horseshoes and that other thing. Pick: Roman Reigns
Raw Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss
Gino Moresco: I will say it looks like it could at least change the title here but Triple H has shown that, if nothing else, he doesn’t like playing hot potato with any of the belts. Choose: Bianca Bellair
Sean Reuter: What if Uncle Howdy is actually Angelo Dawkins, who’s tired of being seen as “another guy” from street earnings? This probably feels like losing Bianca here, but I can’t bring myself to pick a favorite in all of the one-on-one matches on this show. Choose: Alexa Place
Kyle Deckerkisa: I can see a switch here to get things going. Bianca’s reign was more than solid, but it also got a little boring. Even if she wins, I hope they find a way to whip up some excitement for the manic match. I think she won, but I wouldn’t be completely shocked if she didn’t. Choose: Bianca Bellair
Claire Elizabeth: God bless Alexa because she’s really trying to hold this character down with duct tape and securing wire at this point but there’s no way we’re seeing a title change here. Choose: Bianca Bellair
Cain A Knight: Bianca Belair has been subduing everyone for almost two years now. I don’t think WWE gave her all those wins just to get the gold medal at the Uncle Howdy Championship next door. Choose: Bianca Bellair
Marcus Benjamin: Bianca’s derailment here doesn’t make sense. And as much as the internet loves Alexa, she doesn’t have a lot of juice right now though I love her work. It’s time for this Uncle Howdy thing to end or the next gear hits, so taking Bianca’s moniker is the least of her problems. Choose: Bianca Bellair
Black Court Match: Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight
Gino Moresco: Look, it’s a Bray Wyatt match with a gimmick that no one understands, it’s entirely possible that Uncle Howdy appears, smoke fills the arena, and everyone, including the audience, disappears completely. Somehow, Michael Cole will still be around to promote the next game. Choose: L.A. Knight
Sean Reuter: LA Knight’s reward for his amazing work on this show is that thousands of people on the Internet fell in love with him two decades into his career. He is not winning this match. Choose: Bray Wyatt
Kyle Decker: White may win the match, but the LA Knights are really the winners in this matchup so far. yes! Choose: Bray Wyatt
Claire Elizabeth: My main prediction here is that Bray Wyatt will turn around to face the camera at some point and tell us all that our souls have lined up in the perfection of darkness and boom “Look under your seat” Wow, a case of Mountain Dew Pitch Black under my chair in my apartment, wow, how did he do that He’s a magician for real scary, Dan. is over! Cain A Knight: Bray Wyatt has been back in WWE over three months ago, and somehow this is his first televised match. And it’s about Mountain Dew. This is the hell of a contract he negotiated. Choose: Bray Wyatt
Marcus Benjamin: must be braying. L.A. Knight might be the… no, scratch that. LA Knight is exactly the same, his name is now Himothy Knight. But Bray needs that win and some build-up for that Uncle Howdy Shenanigan. Choose: Bray Wyatt.
