As usual, there is a lot of chatter about an eventful night at WWE’s annual show Royal Rumble Excellent live event later tonight in San Antonio.

Rumble Rumors:

• The site could not confirm this, but several people who claim to have connections in WWE swear by it Choose a fight The rock will appear tonight.
• Posted by Dwayne Johnson Instagram This morning about shooting his Amazon movie Late Night one redbut many people pointed out that Ronda Rousey did something similar prior to her debut at the 2018 Rumble.
• There are multiple reports of Edge and Beth Phoenix being in town, both PW from the inside and Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer.
• Multiple outlets also reported that the best selling product in San Antonio this weekend was Cody Rhodes.
• While Rhodes wasn’t medically cleared when videos of his comeback began airing, Insider says he’s now fully cleared. Cody will return to Raw full time starting Monday.
• Cody and Rhea Ripley remained the favorites to win their respective Rumble matches when online sportsbook published their final odds before the show. Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair and Bray Wyatt are also favored to win singles matches.
• According to the “Bo Dallas” website, he is in the city fighting. WWE has Uncle Howdy costumes on hand at the Alamodome.
• Several talents have told WWE Fightful that they think Pat McAfee will be returning to the company soon. Someone said they heard McAfee’s name mentioned in the Rumble.
• Matt Cardona has continued to tease a possible return to WWE on social media. Insider says talk at last week’s Impact tapings was that ex Zack Ryder is done with that promotion, and that he and his wife, Chelsea Green, will be appearing tonight.
• No NXT wrestlers were used in last year’s Rumble matches, which Fightful says was the result of a “strict edict” in WWE. This is not the case this year.
• In fact, PW Insider says Indi Hartwell, Zoey Stark, Ivy Nile, and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez have been brought to the show.
• Regarding the possibility of Jay White’s Japanese debut tonight, Fightful says “NJPW sources claim he’s still under contract with them starting at the Royal Rumble.”
• Insider says that while Ric Flair was at one point going to be at the Rumble, he was instead the Grand Marshall at the Gasparilla Pirate Festival today in Tampa.
• Roster members who are not currently booked but reported to be in town for the Rumble include Dexter Lumis, Doudrop, Alpha Academy, Street Profits, Titus O’Neil and Mia Yim.
• This afternoon, CJ “Lana” Perry wrote Instagram video Made with Damian Priest in San Antonio.
