There is not much to write about when Sami Zayn appears on it Monday Night Raw This week in Brooklyn, a nice little surprise became a much nicer one when he called Cody Rhodes and the two went back and forth about what’s coming up next week (and maybe beyond). The kind of clip that needs to be seen to be appreciated was:
WWE has two beloved superstars who are both hot as hell at the exact time you want to have a hot as hell baby face to go against the top heel in the company, who is also the WWE Universal Champion. You could argue that this is also a small problem, however, and in my eyes this part was a way to address that.
Problem: “How do we sell the idea that Zayn could beat Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber when Rhodes is already waiting for him at WrestleMania?”
Answer: this section.
This wasn’t even setting up WWE to set up Zayn to win the title and then wrestle Rhodes, or even set up rumors to turn her into a triple threat, or even set up Reigns to defend the title both nights in Englewood. Instead, it felt like WWE was trying to create a little bit of doubt in the main event outcome of the next major PPV.
Did you do that? This is for you to decide.
Either way, we got a part from hell.
