Sami Zayn is guilty

raw Broadcast tonight (January 23rd) with a live show from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. This is the last episode of raw During nine weeks building approx royal rumble, which will be held on Saturday (January 28). It’s also the celebration of Rowe’s 30th anniversary.

Sami Zayn is guilty

Sami Zayn was about to become a full member of The Bloodline two months ago at WarGames. That night, he chose loyalty to Roman Reigns over his friendship with Kevin Owens. But things soon went south for the titular Uce.

Since WarGames, Zayn has been more aggressive in trying to make his mark as a proud member of The Bloodline, but he’s stepped on Roman’s toes a few times along the way. Then, thanks to John Cena, Zayn made the huge mistake of contributing to the loss of Roman’s near-perfect record as 2022 drew to a close.

Since then, Roman has snapped at Zen several times, accusing him of wanting to take over his position as chief of the tribe, and is insulted when Sami publicly wonders if he was just being used. Kevin Owens planted that seed of doubt in Sami’s head.

Owens challenges Reigns for WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble. During last week’s contract signing for that match, Owens ambushed the entire Bloodline and Roman through a table. Zayn never came out to the ring until all the damage had been done and Owens had escaped. All of the members of The Bloodline looked at Sammy, wondering why he wasn’t there to watch the clan chief’s back.

As a result, Sami Zayn is on trial tonight in Tribal Court, which includes multiple generations of The Bloodline. Sammy’s defense of what happened in the signing of the contract likely revolved around Roman ordering him to do menial tasks such as preparing the car and plane for the bloodline. But if you blame the mob boss when something goes wrong, you get beat up. Sami is in a difficult place here. This could be the end of his run with The Bloodline if the family finds him guilty.

Looking ahead, the main event championship match between Reigns and Zayn should pretty much happen either at Elimination Chamber in Montreal on February 18, or at WrestleMania 39 in early April. If Zayn’s title shot is coming four weeks from now in Montreal, The Bloodline needs to destroy it ASAP, because the clock is ticking.

The night makes sense for the role because Reigns doesn’t need Sami to beat Owens at the Royal Rumble. There’s no way Roman would lose against a KO, so it would be hard for Sami to screw that up. If Zayn is instead fired from The Bloodline tonight, it also creates an interesting scenario where he’s a more viable contender for winning the Royal Rumble match.

This is Raw XXX, the 30th anniversary of Raw, and the viewership for this show has to be among the best WWE numbers of the year. It’s a great time to showcase the big angle that led to Sami’s breakup with The Bloodline, giving the best storyline in WWE a major plot twist as the hard pressure on WrestleMania begins.

The rest of the title scene

US Champion Austin is scheduled to defend his title tonight against Bobby Lashley. Lashley got the title match with some help from Omos. It appears that this is all part of MVP’s plan to reunite The Hurt Business. Could Brock Lesnar show up to take down Bobby? Lesnar should be a part of the Royal Rumble event, right?

Doomsday will challenge The Usos for raw Team titles tag tonight. Is there a possibility that Jimmy and J will lose these belts before Sami Zayn’s trial?

raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair will defend her belt against Alexa Bliss at the Royal Rumble. Alexa’s bizarre relationship with Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy was an important part of this story, which caught Belair somewhat by surprise.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Dakota Kai needed a new challenge, and now they seem to have it in the form of Mia Yim and Candice LeRae.

Other things to watch

– Becky Lynch and Bayley are going to a steel cage match tonight. I’ve been building this game for at least a couple of months, and the guy seems to me well positioned to win.

Raw XXX will contain a lot of nostalgia. Some of the WWE Superstars from the past who are expected to appear tonight are Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Bella Twins, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Ron Simmons, Teddy Long, and Jerry Lawler.

– I think this is the first time The Undertaker has returned to Raw or SmackDown since his final goodbye at Survivor Series 2020. Do we get a Dead Man gimmick or Biker Taker or something else? Will he get physically involved, perhaps choking on an obnoxious heel like Chad Gable?

– Is Banger Bros. Coming to Raw XXX?

Now that Seth Rollins is out of the United States Championship picture, he can focus all his attention on preparing for the Royal Rumble match.

– Bronson Reed’s first match in WWE was a dominant victory over Akira Tozawa. Will he feast on another babyface before the Royal Rumble match?

– Will Dexter Lumis have a super creepy interaction with the WWE legend?

Mustafa Ali failed to attract the attention of Dolph Ziggler, so he resorted to violence last week. How will Dolph respond?

Cody Rhodes returns to WWE in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Will Matt Riddle follow suit, or will he be back tonight?

– There are a lot of Royal Rumble entrants left to announce, especially on the women’s side of the ledger.

– Now that Vince McMahon is back as CEO of WWE, will he book himself back on TV on Raw XXX?
