Samoa Joe regained the TNT title just in time for Wardlow’s return

Twitter AEW

for his No Holds Barred TNT title defense against Samoa Joe on February 1 dynamiteDarby Allen appeared wearing a pin-up jacket. And he didn’t wait long before breaking into the challenger while wearing it, so in case you had any doubts about what we were getting at…

If you’ve watched either of the previous two games between these guys, you know what’s going to happen… plenty of Joe delivers a devastating offense, and Allin sold it in such a way that you’re never quite sure it won’t. actually killed him.

Darby resisted, as he always does. He even looked like he had won when he put his thumb jacket back on to get the Coffin Drop. But Joe is knocked out, so Allen undoes the ring to expose the panels at the bottom of the mat. Unfortunately, the person who connected the final move on this deck was the competitor. Referee Joe bounced off the ropes to thwart another Coffin Drop attempt, then dropped Allin with a Muscle Buster.

The king of television didn’t have long to celebrate. We haven’t seen the man who beat him up for the TNT belt the first time since Joe cut his hair back on December 28th. But as our man Cain predicted, Wardlaw is back to close out the show. It didn’t work out with powerbomb Joe, but that means some kind of bad security guard was in for a bad night.

Looks like it’s time for a rematch! Joe/Wardlaw AT revolutionanyone?
