The former NJPW wrestler debuted on the WWE NXT house show

Carl Fredericks’ contract with New Japan expired in August last year, and while he expressed his gratitude to the company – especially Katsuyori Shibata and the team at the Los Angeles dojo – he himself announced that he would not re-sign. We quickly heard that he was possibly connected to WWE. Then last week, PWInsider reported The former Young Lion Cup winner had signed with the ‘E.

You don’t need to be an insider to confirm this fact. There is plenty of evidence after Fredericks appeared on last night’s Coconut Loop episode of NXT (January 20). The 32-year-old faced off against the Renault Axiom at Ft. Pierce, Florida after he defeated Oro Mensah in the home opener.

Fredericks sounded fine, even if many Florida believers weren’t familiar with his work…

How long until we see Fredericks on TV? In addition to an issue with the Axiom, Grayson Waller is also in the IG comments laying the groundwork for a possible program with the newcomer…
