The 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match lasted 71 minutes and 40 seconds (71d and 40s).

A superstar’s survival time is the time that elapses between the point where his foot steps into the ring and the time his feet hit the ground to signal an elimination. This does not include the time it takes for the star to make its way from the entrance ramp down into the actual ring.

The superstar’s average survival time in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match was 13m 19s and the average survival time was 7m 29s. The median value is less affected by the outliers on either side.

It should display each time above with a margin of error of about 2 seconds or so.

These survival times are within 1 second of the figures listed in WWE website, with one exception. WWE lists Angelo Dawkins as having escaped for 2 meters 28 seconds, while I own him at 3 minutes 17 seconds. I once again checked his appearance in the match, and I am very confident in the accuracy of my time. Seems like a simple typo at the end of WWE; They included Dawkins and Brock Lesnar in the adjacent entries and accidentally assigned Lesnar’s survival time of 2m 28s to both wrestlers.

I decided to count Rey Mysterio as a participant in the match with a survival time of 0m00s, even though he never made it to the ring. This is similar to what happened with Macho Man Randy Savage’s place at the 1991 Royal Rumble and with Skull at the 1998 Rumble. If Rey is eliminated, the remaining 29 wrestlers have an average survival time of 13m 47s and an average time of 7m 45s.

The total match time of 71 meters 40 seconds is the second longest in a Royal Rumble match of all time, trailing only the greatest 50-man Royal Rumble match. That’s right, the 30-man Rumble with 90-second intervals lasted longer than the 40-man version in 2011 and all Rumbles with official two-minute intervals.

GUNTHER was the iron man in this match with a remaining time of 71m 40s. It is the second longest surviving time of all time, behind Daniel Bryan’s Greatest Royal Rumble performance.

The top six wrestlers on the list have exceeded a survival time of 25 minutes. They are also the only wrestlers in the match to last more than 16 minutes. Of those six guys, I’d say Johnny Gargano was the quietest, in terms of not really doing much given how long he’s been there.

Although Cody Rhodes was the 30th man to enter the match, his survival time of 15 minutes, 07 seconds ranked as the eighth longest. This is because his last confrontation with GUNTHER lasted 7 minutes and 15 seconds.

This is the second year in a row that Brock Lesnar’s remaining time has been under three minutes. That was good enough to win it last year, but not so much this time.

Logan Paul’s 10m 57s survival time includes the 3m 55s break he took outside the ring, before running again to eliminate Seth Rollins.

Edge, Montez Ford, Booker T, and Elias all failed to stay long enough to get to the next buzzer after theirs.

Although Baron Corbin only survived for seven seconds, he actually made it through the next hold. This is because Brock Lesnar immediately took him out with an F5 before he could enter the ring. He remained unconscious outside the ring until the next entrant (Rollins) came out and threw him into the ring to start the clock on his survival time.
