Didn’t count. But even in defeat, The Lister has been around in WWE long enough to know it’s all about the moments.
Mike “The Miz” Mizanin is not only a WWE superstar, but also a reality show guru and a huge sports fan. Put those things together, and The Miz is the go-to guy for celebrity games like the ones the NBA holds during their annual All-Star Weekend.
The 2023 edition was last night (February 17th) in Salt Lake City. The Celebrities were divided into teams led by Utah Jazz majority owner Ryan Smith, and retired NBA great Dwyane Wade, who owns a minority stake in the Jazz. Miz was on Smith’s team, and near the end of the game, his team was down by three points.
Finding himself with the ball in his hands in the half court with time running out, The Lister launched a 47-foot Prayer. His shot only found the net, and Miz was swarmed by teammates who thought he had just won the game with a four-pointer (among the rules unique to the Celebrity All-Star Game, there is a four-point line located a yard behind the three-point arc). Unfortunately, the official ruled that Maryse’s man had not shot him before the bell.

the problem. Still a hell of a bullet, though. The Miz has been in WWE long enough to know that it’s not whether you win or lose, but how you put smiles on faces.
