During tonight’s episode (February 17) “Slam Dunk” of frenzyAEW has been promoting several matches on the next week’s TV shows.

Wheeler Utah was kind of an aggressive runner challenging Orange Cassidy in the Pan-Atlantic Championship game. Sammy Guevara demanded a match with Action Andretti after Action stopped him from corrupting Ricky Starks. Evil Uno says Jon Moxley will respect him after their match is over.

That’s all well and good, but none of these angles caught my attention quite as much as the AEW announcers saying Tony Khan has a major announcement next week, while the on-screen graphic called it an “important” announcement.

I don’t think any of these qualities quite hit Tony’s previous blockbuster threshold, so perhaps this is his way of tempering expectations.

Either way, Tony has something important to tell us. What could it be? Something about Ring of Honor? Perhaps an update for the Elite’s future with AEW? Maybe he has a new signing before AEW revolution Pay-per-view on March 5th? Did he finally wipe out the bot army seeking AEW?
