Vince McMahon once again made his way onto the WWE Board of Directors and once again became the President of the company with the largest professional wrestling promotion in the world. This of course caused a general state of unease within the talent ranks, mostly related to concern that McMahon would once again take complete creative control.
This is probably too bad for many wrestlers, many of whom Triple H, who took over for Vince last year, has been back in the fold over the past few months.
To help ease the anxiety surrounding all of this, Choose a fight Reports Triple H held a talent meeting before Friday Night SmackDown In Green Bay this week. During said meeting, he made sure to say that McMahon is back to see about the sale of WWE and no upcoming changes to the creative process. Vince may talk to Triple H about things but the latter still has the final say.
At least for now, nothing changes on that front.
However, as we’ve seen recently, a lot can change in a very short time. Whether or not this helped everyone calm down remains to be seen, but other reports of Nick Khan being used as buffer between Vince, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon likely won’t help matters.
PW from the inside He also acknowledges that everyone has been told “not to believe the rumors” about whatever is going on with the company at the moment.
So while this is a strange time historically for WWE, the creative team will carry on unchanged.
Or so they say.
